Jemma Bolt

Jemma Bolt

Biography

Jemma started her performing career at the tender age of three playing a 'strawberry and vanilla ice cream' in a stage adaptation of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.

After leaving school she enrolled in a two year course at the Jellicoe Theatre, studying for a BTEC National diploma in performing arts. This covered all aspects of the industry from singing to script writing. Unable to accept her place at 'The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art' due to personal circumstances, she nonetheless pursued her love of performing and joined a travel operators entertainments team which toured Europe's countless beach and ski resorts.

During her final season abroad she worked for Pacha (the music and club brand) in Ibiza. Inspired by her presenting stint on HFM, the island's leading English speaking radio station, Jemma returned to London and entered Life TV's 'Search for a Presenter'. Throughout the challenging series she developed and honed the necessary skills: autocue, talkback, interviewing and vox pops. She went on to win the show and a contract with Life TV. She has since hosted 'TY-GA World Championships' for Sky Sports and Life TV.

This invaluable experience led, not only to a variety of voice-over work for clients such as HMV and Virgin Music, but also roles in three major movies, including 'Last Chance Harvey' alongside Dustin Hoffman.
